• Travel Content: Blog articles, travel tips, cultural guides, and educational content about Japan
• Booking Assistance: Facilitation of bookings for accommodations, transportation, tours, and experiences through our partner network
• Newsletter: Seasonal travel updates, destination recommendations, and exclusive travel content delivered via email

We act as an information provider and travel planning service. When we facilitate bookings with third-party providers, we act as an intermediary and are not the direct provider of accommodations, transportation, or tour services. Third-party services are subject to their own terms and conditions.

4. User Accounts and Registration

5.2 Payment

5.3 Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation policies vary depending on the specific service or booking. General cancellation terms are as follows:

• Cancellations made 30 or more days before the service date: Full refund minus a processing fee of 5%
• Cancellations made 15-29 days before the service date: 50% refund
• Cancellations made 7-14 days before the service date: 25% refund
• Cancellations made fewer than 7 days before the service date: No refund
• Third-party bookings are subject to the cancellation policies of the respective provider

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on our website, including but not limited to text, photographs, illustrations, graphics, logos, icons, audio, video, software, and design elements (collectively, "Content"), is the exclusive property of Nihon Travels or our content licensors and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Content for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not:

• Travel conditions, prices, schedules, and availability are subject to change without notice
• We are not responsible for disruptions caused by weather, natural disasters, political events, health emergencies, or other force majeure events
• You are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents, including valid passports, visas, and health certificates
• We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and personal liability
• Our travel guides and recommendations are informational in nature and should not replace professional travel advice or official government travel advisories

You acknowledge that travel involves inherent risks and agree to exercise reasonable care and judgment during your travels. Nihon Travels is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, or expense arising from your travel activities.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nihon Travels and its directors, officers, employees, agents, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Services
• Any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Any damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data
• Any damages resulting from the acts or omissions of third-party service providers
• Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in our Content or Services

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the Services shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

• Negotiation: The parties shall first attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith negotiation for a period of thirty (30) days
• Mediation: If negotiation fails, the parties agree to participate in non-binding mediation administered by a mutually agreed-upon mediator in Tokyo, Japan
• Litigation: If mediation is unsuccessful, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court, Japan

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, it shall be severed from these Terms. The invalidity of any provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms or policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Nihon Travels regarding your use of the Services. These Terms supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, proposals, and representations, whether oral or written, between you and the Company regarding the Services.
